The Twin Geeks Music Show: Michael Jackson’s Thriller at 40

Due to our strong personal convictions, we want to express that this podcast in no way endorses a belief in the occult — The Twin Geeks

That’s right, it’s been 40 whole years since one of the great watershed moments for music videos and the total shift in what pop music can be, who gets to make it, and how it is sold to us visually. 40 whole years since Michael Jackson’s unassailable all-killer, no-filler 1982 album Thriller. Not only has this timeless music been reissued and put onto restored records, but incredibly, the original footage of “Thriller” and “Beat It” has been gorgeously restored to 4K, presenting The King of Pop with greater visual acuity than anyone has seen before. Just like the record, you just can’t skip this one, as Calvin and Kevin wax nostalgic about one of the greatest albums that have ever been packaged for mass consumption. It’s a Thriller all right.
